2020 Blended Learning Lifeguarding Class

Dear Potential ARC Blended Lifeguard Class Participant,

I am excited to offer you American Red Cross Blended Learning training. Blended learning combines online learning with on-site skills sessions where you will practice skills and demonstrate competency.  The benefits are numerous with the MOST beneficial being the decrease in onsite time watching videos.
Please plan to complete the online lessons of your training at least two days prior to your on-site skills session and bring a copy of certification of completion. The on-site skills sessions will be over 2 days in June TBA.  Please follow the registration process outlined below to gain access to the online portion:

    (if it does not open, copy and paste the URL into your browser). 
  • If you do not already have an account, you will need to create one – click the “New User” link and complete the information for the account – please make note of your username and password for future access to the online content.
  • The next step will be to click “Confirm.”
  • You are now enrolled. You may launch the content immediately by clicking the “Go To My Enrollments” button, then click the “Launch” link next to the appropriate course. Or, you may log in at a later time.
  • To log in at a later time:
    1. Click http://classes.redcross.org
    2. Enter your username and password.
    3. Go to the “My Learning” tab and the “My Enrollments” page will be displayed.
    4. Select the “Launch” link for the appropriate course to view and take the content.  

If you need assistance accessing the online session, please contact the American Red Cross Training Support Center at 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767), select the option for Health & Safety Training.

          10:00 am             Swimming Skills Test 
           (prior to skills test you must present certification of completion of the online course)
          10:40 am             On-site Skills Lessons
          1:30 pm               Lunch (Save Time and $’s, please pack your lunch)
           2:30 pm               On-site Skills Lessons continued
           5:00 pm               Life Guard Training Ends
Sunday, June                10:00 – 4:00 pm
           10:00 am             On-site Skills Review and Final Testing
           1:30 pm               Lunch (Save Time and $’s, please pack your lunch)
          2:30 pm               American Red Cross “Blended” Life Guarding written test
          4:00 pm               Life Guard Training Ends

*must be 15 years of age or older
 
Lifeguard, CPR & First Aid Class Re-Certifications
Saturday, June              10:00 - TBA pm
Re-Certification Participants will also need to complete the online course.
(Presenting certification of completion of the online course prior to skills test)
 
Cost:
Blended Learning Life Guarding Training
First time certification $285.00 (Certification good for 2 years)
Blended Learning Lifeguard Re-certification and Challenge Course $150.00
